John Doogan is a Fellow of the New Zealand Institute of Photography with two bars, an Adobe Ambassador for New Zealand specialising in photography and product testing, and an award winning photographer. In 2007, 2005 and 2001 he won the NZIPP Landscape Photographer of the Year award, and in 2005 also won the NZIPP Editorial Photographer of the Year award. Other awards include:

John has worked in photography for 25 years. He specialises in landscape photography, digital retouching and tuition in the digital darkroom. As an early adopter of digital technology and techniques he is an acknowledged authority in this area. In 2005 John’s experience and knowledge of digital retouch work resulted in his being made New Zealand’s Adobe Ambassado for Photography and Photographic products.

John has taught Photoshop and Lightroom seminars throughout New Zealand to the professional association and also to amateur clubs. In the last two years he has taught e-seminars on aspects of Photoshop and Lightroom, drawing an audience from New Zealand, Australia and Asia. Jacqui Walker, John’s wife, is a secondary school teacher and careers adviser. She has a passion for Italian travel, language and cuisine. With her background in teaching, Jacqui enjoys organising activities. She will be working behind the scenes to ensure everything runs smoothly and that you have the maximum opportunities for photography and tuition. Should you be accompanied by your spouse/partner who is not a photographer, Jacqui will be organising alternative activities from time to time.

John and Jacqui have visited The Marche region of Italy for extended periods, and have an excellent knowledge of the local region.
